The 2026 Golden Globes audience is in the dog house — the Snoop Dogg house, to be clear.
Midway through Sunday night's live ceremony, the rapper took the stage in his sleek signature style to present the first-ever Best Podcast award, walking out to greet the audience while his 2004 hit "Drop It Like It's Hot" played overhead, before he was censored for using profanity on stage later during the presentation.
"Stop the music!" the 54-year-old exclaimed as he took his place in front of the microphone, before turning toward the crowd to offer some advice for the lively ceremony.**
"I need y'all to loosen up a little bit. This is the double-G's, the double-G's, it's the Golden Globes, and you're with the D-O-double-G," Snoop said. "So, make sure you enjoy yourself, don't be no stiff biff! Move around a little bit!"
What used to be regarded as one of Hollywood's rowdiest evenings, the Golden Globes has slightly polished up its image in recent years, particularly after a racial exclusion scandal in 2021 led to an overhaul of its membership eligibility requirements and led to the dissolution of the storied Hollywood Foreign Press Association title for its voting group.
"Best Podcast is a very important category for me, because, before podcasts, I was what y'all would listen to driving around in your cars. To you podcasters, you better hope I don't get in that game," Snoop joked as his introduction to the category went on.

Snoop then paused for a video package to play, highlighting the Best Podcast nominees.
"Shout-out to the Golden Globes for putting the podcast category in this awards show. And shout-out to all of the podcasters. You all are winners, but the real winner is..." Snoop said, with the audience laughing at the bit.
Then, in a spoken portion that was censored during the broadcast, but that * *was able to hear in the room, the rapper told the audience, "I'm high as a motherf---er right now. Y'all had me here too damn long!"

"Wow, this is exactly how I pictured it: Snoop giving me the award," Poehler said. "Thank you so much!"
Snoop wasn't the only star censored during Sunday's show. Best Supporting Actress champion Teyana Taylor (*One Battle After Another*) was also bleeped during the broadcast when she said, "Oh my God, this s--- is heavy," with reference to the weight of her new Golden Globes statuette.
