A celebrity cameo? In *The Devil Wears Prada 2*? Groundbreaking.

After ** confirmed that at least one pop culture superstar (Lady Gaga herself)* *would make* *a cameo in the upcoming* Devil Wears Prada* sequel starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, *Today* show host Craig Melvin accidentally revealed live on air that another star will appear in the film.

"By the way, you know how that movie’s going to be good?" Melvin asked on Wednesday's broadcast of the NBC talk show, per EW's sister publication, PEOPLE. "You know how I can tell? JBH is in it!"

The outlet noted that the camera then showed Melvin's colleague, Jenna Bush Hager, reacting in shock. She responded, "I don't know that you were supposed to drop that bomb."

Savannah Guthrie, who returned to the *Today* set earlier this week for the first time since her mother's highly publicized disappearance, quipped, "This is live. You can not tell Craig anything!"

Melvin replied, "I thought it was common knowledge?" which prompted longtime morning TV personality Al Roker to respond, "It is now!"

Melvin then jokingly asked the crew to "cut it out for the other feeds" as he apologized to Bush Hager. "My bad!" he said.

In a curious twist of fate, an Ancestry.com study recently revealed that the media executive and the three-time Oscar winner are distant relatives. "Well THAT explains EVERYTHING," Streep exclusively told EW in a written statement.

Opening in theaters almost 20 years to the day after the first *Devil Wears Prada*'s premiere, the sequel picks up as Hathaway's Andy Sachs reunites with Priestly to combat a series of scandals involving declining reader interest in the fashion bible that first brought them together, *Runway*. The *Devil Wears Prada* debuted to glowing critical reviews, $327 million in global ticket sales, and two Oscar nominations in 2006.
