There's a chill in the air outside, but the glass is fogging up inside the PEOPLE offices, where we're just days away from naming our Sexiest Man Alive. (Have you set your calendar alert for Nov. 3?)

And with the big reveal around the corner, that means it's also time for our other favorite annual tradition celebrating the hottest guys in Hollywood: Our PEOPLE Readers' Choice poll. A record-setting 350,000 people voted this year, in categories that include Sexiest 40 Year Old (a nod to the fact that it's our 40th year of the Sexiest Man Alive franchise), Sexiest New Heartthrob, Sexiest Tattoos and Sexiest Cat Dad.

As in years past, there was plenty of heated debate, some clever campaigning on social media, a last-minute push for votes from A-list significant others and a few races that were neck-and-neck right up until the last ballot was cast. But finally, we are able to unveil the winners of our Readers' Choice Poll — kicking off today, and sharing a few more each day next week until everyone has been named (and gets their Sexiest Man Alive boxers in the mail).

Sexiest Cat Dad: Dave Franco

Meow! Dave Franco (who, with wife Alison Brie, is the proud owner to brother/sister tabbies Max and Otis) was catnip to PEOPLE readers, who picked him as their favorite purr-son in the Sexiest Cat Dad category. He was up against Kumail Nanjiani, Mark Ruffalo and Myles Turner.

Sexiest Game Show Host: Jimmy Fallon

After his hard-fought campaign against (and subsequent graceful concession to) Mark Consuelos in last year's Sexiest Talk Show Host category, no one is more deserving of a win than That's My Jam host Jimmy Fallon. He bested fellow suave emcees Nate Burleson (Hollywood Squares), Michael Strahan (The $100,000 Pyramid) and Ryan Seacrest (Wheel of Fortune).
