Baseball Tees May Be Spring’s Biggest Sleeper Hit

It’s safe to say the sporty renaissance is here. This season alone, we’ve seen windbreakers and anoraks get the fashion treatment, followed by the track pants revival. Of course, we can’t forget about the rise of multi-color low-profile sneakers, as well the resurgence of striped polos and rugby shirts. But now, there’s yet another sporty trend, this time a sleeper hit, stepping on deck: baseball tees.

We’re not talking the performance jerseys you might find a New York Yankee or other MLB player wearing on the field. We mean those light, oh-so-soft, and perfectly broken-in shirts with contrast raglan sleeves and a collar that harken back to the ‘60s, ‘70s, and even ‘80s. Think: graphic concert tees or The Sandlot vibes.

Over the last year, the laidback top has been popping up more frequently in new arrivals sections of our favorite sites, and with peak spring finally here, it’s just the relaxed style staple our wardrobes are missing.

Its inherently cool aesthetic makes it an ideal casual piece that can be dressed with a great pair of rigid jeans and sneakers the old-fashioned way. But if you want to bring the look into 2026? Easy. Just pair a baseball tee with balloon pants or bermuda shorts and thong sandals, or a satin bias skirt and ballet flats for an effortlessly elevated look.
