Texas Roadhouse is getting bigger (and slightly more expensive).
The steakhouse chain shared that it has raised prices by 1.9% in Q2 of 2026, also outlining plans to open new locations this year in Texas Roadhouse, Inc.'s Q1 earnings call for fiscal year 2026.
Chief Financial Officer Mike Lenihan explained on the call that weekly sales at Texas Roadhouse have indicated a positive sales trend across Q1 into Q2.
“Included within this positive sales trend is the benefit of the 1.9% menu price increase that went into effect at the beginning of the second quarter,” Lenihan said.
VP Vice Presidentof Investor Relations Michael Bailen later added that the comparable sales increase the company had was driven by a traffic increase, as well as “a 2.6% increase in average check.”
He said this rise in check price partially offset the effects of commodity inflation.

CEO Jerry Morgan said that Q1 marked “a same-store sales increase of 7.1%, including 4.5% traffic growth.”
The brand's Q1 Earnings Summary said revenue was up 12.8% for the quarter to $1.6 billion. Income from operations was also up 8.6% to $146.3 million, while restaurant margins rose 10.5% to $264.4 million.
This increase across the board stands in contrast to the company's Q4 2025 Earnings Summary.
The company's revenue in Q4 2025 was $1.5 billion, up 3.1% from the previous quarter. However, its income from operations was down 30.2% to $96.7 million, and the restaurant margin was down 15.6% to $204.8 million.
In terms of expansion in 2026, CEO Jerry Morgan unveiled the chain's plans to open new Texas Roadhouse locations domestically and internationally.

“In the first quarter, we opened four Texas Roadhouse restaurants and expect as many as nine openings across all brands in the second quarter,” he said. “This means that openings in 2026 will be weighted towards the back half of the year.”
The Q1 2026 Earnings Summary indicates that the chain opened five franchise stores in Q1.
Morgan mentioned that “internationally, our partners also opened one Texas Roadhouse in the first quarter,” referring to the location that opened on April 28, 2026 in Seoul, South Korea. This location was the “first Texas Roadhouse standalone store in Korea,” per an Instagram post shared by the store.
The chain also has several restaurants located in Hyundai outlets and department stores throughout South Korea.
Morgan said in the earnings call that the brand expects these partners to “open as many as six more [international Texas Roadhouse locations] throughout the rest of the year.”
Combined with openings of the other brands that the company owns, “we continue to expect approximately 35 company owned openings for the full year,” Morgan said.
Texas Roadhouse's 2025 Q4 Earnings Summary indicated that the chain opened eight stores last year. Per the company's website, the chain's footprint as of March 31, 2026 is up to 822 restaurants, with 749 Texas Roadhouses.
The 2025 Q4 summary also noted that the brand implemented “digital kitchen and guest management systems,” a step that Morgan said in the Q1 2026 call had a positive impact on operations.
“Our digital kitchen technologies are supporting operators as they execute a higher volume of to-go orders without negatively impacting the dine-in experience,” he said. “We are also encouraged by the initial feedback from the testing of upgraded handheld tablets that servers can use to input guest orders at the table.”
He said the company plans to expand testing of these technologies.
