Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rolled out images for 2026 on March 24. The preview put Brooks Nader and several familiar faces back in focus. It leaned into beach glamour, clean styling, and recognizable names from TV, sports, and fashion. James Macari photographed the shoot, and it took place in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The lineup, which mixed returning favorites with rookies, gave the annual issue a broad celebrity spread.

Stars shine in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photos

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit focused the image drop on Brooks Nader, Bethenny Frankel, Livvy Dunne, and Ilona Maher. It also featured Lauren Chan, Hunter McGrady, Jocelyn Corona, Molly Sims, and Haley Baylee. For the shoot, Nader wore a brown halter bikini with a silver pendant. Frankel modeled a black-and-tan geometric bikini. Meanwhile, Dunne wore a white crochet set, while Maher chose a black crochet look.

Nader remained one of the brand’s most familiar repeat names. She first joined through Swim Search and later landed a 2023 cover. Frankel arrived as a businesswoman and reality TV name. Meanwhile, Dunne returned after becoming one of the magazine’s 2025 cover stars. She brought her gymnast and influencer appeal. Maher came back for a third straight issue. Chan added fashion weight as a model, editor, and entrepreneur. Then, McGrady brought another plunging one-piece moment. Those details kept the package familiar, but still varied.

At the same time, the rookies added a fresh layer to the rollout. Frankel entered as a first-time SI Swimsuit rookie after her 2025 Swim Week appearance. Corona joined as another newcomer. Sims and Kalil added veteran polish. Chan’s blue set, McGrady’s teal cutout suit, and Corona’s belted one-piece widened the mix.

So, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit preview did more than tease bikini photos. It also mapped an issue built on TV names, athletes, entrepreneurs, and longtime swimsuit regulars before the full magazine release in May.
