Scarlett Johansson recalled her first concert during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
During the Thursday, April 2 episode, the Fly Me to the Moon actress took the "The Colbert Questioner" and revealed her first concert was Cypress Hill at New York City's now-defunct venue Roseland Ballroom.
“I’m still buzzing from it, man. I am,” said Johansson, 41. “I must have gone with a friend. I don’t remember, because I was so high… I think it was at Roseland."

She continued, "And I remember they rolled this huge blunt that was like this big. It was like the size of a Blimpie sub. And they smoked it on stage, all the members of the band."
Johansson then recalled that the hip-hop group then passed it all around Roseland Ballroom.
"Those were the days, man," she said.

Colbert, 61, then asked about which specific ones she hated and Johansson began revealing how grossed out she was by "big water bugs."
"Ugh! those are awful," said Johansson. So disgusting. Not only do you have a disgusting water, cockroach-looking thing but it files. And it's aggressive. It like goes for you."
She added, "That is an insect from hell."
In December 2025, the Black Widow star appeared as a guest co-host on Today with Jenna & Friends and revealed she received some criticism from her family about the name of her now 4-year-old son Cosmo, who she shares with husband Colin Jost.
“When we named our son Cosmo, I actually didn’t tell anybody for that very reason," said Johansson at the time. "I didn’t want any of the weird faces. You know when you tell someone they go like this, ‘Oh that’s…that’s different.' You know when they do that, and you’re like, ‘What’s happening? You don’t like it?’"
According to Johansson, her mom loved it. "She was like, ‘Oh, I had a, you know, I had like a…my third grade crush was Cosmo,'" said. "It had a great meaning for her."
But her mother-in-law didn't really understand why she and Jost, now 43, had chosen the name.
"My mother-in-law was like, a few days after she goes, ‘Cosimo is a name I can find. That’s a recognizable name,' " Johansson recalled.
Johansson has two kids: daughter Rose Dorothy, 11, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, and son Cosmo with Jost.
