Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves stunned the world with their version of the Caped Crusader in the 2022 film, The Batman.The movie not only went on to receive a rousing reception from the critics, but it also proved to be successful at the box office. Although a sequel has already been announced, very little information has been revealed about it—until now, as Pattinson has finally shared some crucial and significant details about the script of The Batman Part II, offering fans their first real insight into what’s to come.

While attending the premiere of his latest film, The Drama, the 39-year-old opened up about the much-awaited sequel, its progress, and the script. Even though he avoided any plot details, Pattinson made it clear that he holds the material in very high regard. Moreover, he went on to describe the script as something truly special, indicating that it stood out to him as he read it.

"I mean, the script is like, extraordinary," Pattinson told Deadline with a grin that suggested he’s keeping some major secrets. "I think it's going to be a really, really special film."

Consequently, the Lighthouse star didn’t shy away from saying that the script for The Batman Part II took him by surprise, adding that the sequel will be very different from its predecessor. The actor added, "I was reading it, and I got like, 'Oh wow, okay!' It's going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings."

He added that production has not yet begun, noting that filming is expected to start in “a couple of months.
