Nicole Kidman is looking forward to the future amid her divorce from Keith Urban.

On Friday, Jan. 2, Kidman, 58, celebrated the new year by sharing a photo on her Instagram Stories, seemingly taken on New Year's Eve, showing her and her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, with their backs to the camera as they placed their arms around one another.

One of the girls wore a headband with "2026" on it, as they looked out to the water in Sydney, Australia, while edited fireworks flashed in front of them.

"Looking forward into 2026 xx," Kidman wrote across the image.

Nicole Kidman shares New Year's message

This year marked Kidman's first holiday season since PEOPLE confirmed she and Urban, 58, had separated in September after 19 years of marriage.

The Babygirl actress flew to Australia with her two daughters to celebrate Christmas back home, a source close to Kidman told PEOPLE exclusively last month.

"Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” the insider said. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She's very excited.”

The holiday season came after the Oscar-winning actress filed for divorce from Urban on Sept. 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The source told PEOPLE last month that the Big Little Lies star is “doing well,” despite it all, insisting, “She's been super positive and focused on things that she's grateful for. And there are so many! She feels very blessed."

As well as sharing Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret with Urban, Kidman is also mom to son Connor, 30, and daughter Bella, 33, with ex Tom Cruise.

In November, a source told PEOPLE that Kidman and Urban’s daughters had been splitting their time amicably. "Their daughters live with Nicole, but spend as much time with Keith as they want,” the insider said. “There is no drama."

Another source added in early December, “Nicole and Keith continue to co-parent. The focus is on their daughters. They both want to create a stable and supportive environment for them."

Court documents previously obtained by PEOPLE confirmed that Kidman and the “You’ll Think of Me” singer had agreed to a parenting plan, which includes refraining from speaking negatively about each other or their families.

The parenting plan — signed by Kidman on Sept. 6 and Urban on Aug. 29 — outlined in the document stated that the pair would "encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families."

Both Kidman and Urban, who married in 2006, were also mandated to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of the divorce filing, PEOPLE previously reported.

Kidman was designated the primary residential parent, per the documents, spending 306 days with the girls, while Urban will have them for 59 days annually — meaning the Holland star has more than five times the amount of days as her estranged husband.
