Miley Cyrushas been focusing her efforts on creating music for film and television as of late—and she recently opened up about how she landed some of her big features.

In an interview with People, the longtime musician and actress, 33, explained that even after almost two decades in Hollywood, she's always hustling. Whether she's at an award ceremony or A-list event, she says she offers her musical services to whomever she meets.

"That's why I went to the Oscars this year," Cyrus explained. "Everybody that came up and introduced themselves, I said, 'Well, if you need any music, I'm around.'"

She went on to share that speaking up is exactly how her song "Dream As One" ended up in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Cyrus explained that she met directorJames Cameron at the 2024 D23 Expo, where they were both being honored as Disney Legends.

"I kind of throw it out there as I always do,” she said. "I already knew the answer to, 'So what have you been up to?' I know he's been up to Avatar for a very long time. [I said], 'Just lemme know if you ever need any music.' It just kind of organically happened."

Cyrus says the same thing happened when she met Jamie Lee Curtis and suggested her music for The Last Showgirl. Her song "Beautiful That Way" ended up in the film.

One series she pitched her music for that hasn't come to fruition just yet? Netflix's Baby Reindeer...if there's ever a second season.

"I don't know what I would write for Baby Reindeer season two, but I threw that out there!" Cyrus revealed.

Creator Richard Gadd has since shared that he has no plans for another season of the hit show—but there are plenty of other opportunities for Cyrus to share her music on the big screen!
