Lil Jon's 27-year-old son Nathan Smith, known professionally as DJ Young Slade, has been reported missing in Georgia.**

On Tuesday, the Milton Police Department issued a missing person report for Smith, stating that he was last seen locally on the same day "in the vicinity of Baldwin Dr./Mayfield Rd. in Milton."

According to the report shared on social media, Smith "ran out of his home around 6 a.m. on Feb. 3, and has been missing since. [He] left on foot and does not possess his phone," the report adds, noting that he "may be disoriented and in need of assistance."

"Friends and family are concerned for his safety," authorities wrote, before asking residents to contact the department with any pertinent information.

A rep for Lil Jon told ** in a statement, "The family is asking for privacy at this time. We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe. Thank you."

Lil Jon — born Jonathan Smith — shares Smith with his estranged wife Nicole Smith. The couple wed in 2004 and separated in 2022. The rapper announced their "amicable split" in February 2024, noting they broke up nearly two years prior.**

Lil Jon rose to prominence in the early 2000s, becoming known for hits like "Snap Yo Fingers" and "Turn Down for What." The Atlanta-born rapper and record producer is credited as one of the godfathers of modern club hip-hop. He also shares daughter Nahara with girlfriend Jamila Sozahdah.

Smith has since followed in his father's footsteps, making his own mark on the hip-hop as a DJ. His latest single, "Feels," was released in March 2025.

"He started DJing at 11 years old," Lil Jon said of Smith in a 2023 interview with *The Big Podcast*, per PEOPLE. "I put him in Scratch DJ Academy. He graduated at like 12 years old. He was the smallest thing in there in the graduation. Throughout his teenage years, he started DJing in clubs around L.A., and then he also started making music."

He added, "It's literally in your kid's genes to do what you do. It is in their genes. It is in their DNA. We pass everything we get and we learn down to our children. So he was destined to be in the music business and do music."

Smith has also appeared as a DJ in the BET pilot *Looped In Live*, the *Battlefield America* movie, and on MTV's *Family Legacy*. In an interview with *The Quintessential Gentleman* promoting the show last year, he spoke about growing up with Lil Jon as a father. "It's dope to appreciate my dad, show respect, and just look at all the things he's done, and it's nice to get the torch passed down and do my own thing," he said at the time. "Because it's like it comes from him, but also I'm definitely taking it and making it my own."

Anyone with information on Smith's whereabouts has been urged to call 678-297-6300 or send an email to Detective Sarah Moore at sarah.moore@miltonga.gov.**
