Carson Daly's voice isn't going silent.
The longtime host of "The Voice" is clearing up confusion about his future with the singing competition series after the announcement of a new celebrities-only season led some fans to believe he's exiting the franchise.
On Aug. 4, NBC announced "The Voice: Celebrity," which the network described as an "extension" of the original show that "swaps undiscovered talent for a wide range of celebrities – actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars – competing to become the first 'Voice' celebrity champion."
But the "special season" will be hosted not by Daly, the emcee of "The Voice" since 2011, but rather Keke Palmer.
After the news left many viewers under the impression that Daly is being replaced with Palmer on "The Voice" permanently, he took to Instagram to clarify that just because he's not hosting "The Voice: Celebrity" doesn't mean he's finished with the show.

"Many today have asked if I'm leaving the show," he wrote. "Nope. We're gonna try out these 2 formats this fall/spring & see how it goes! Hopefully this post clears up any confusion. I am still hosting the show currently. In fact, I have hosted & produced every single second of the show since day 1, 30 seasons. 16 years. I'll be producing Celeb Voice only & helping it launch from behind the scenes."
Daly described "The Voice: Celebrity" as a "fun, NEW IDEA," but said he feels he is "not the right host for it," adding that Palmer, "the triple threat queen," is "PERFECT" for the role.

"I'm so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out," he said. "We're all big fans & welcome her to the family."
Daly's post referred to "The Voice: Celebrity" as a spinoff of the main show, though NBC's announcement did not use that language and instead called it an "eventized season."
"'The Voice: Celebrity' will offer unprecedented access to artists throughout the competition as viewers watch familiar faces step outside their comfort zones and reveal new sides of themselves," the network said.

"The Voice" is still set to return for a traditional new season this fall, with Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Queen Latifah and Adam Levine serving as coaches. Daly is returning as host for the 30th season.
For "The Voice: Celebrity," Joe Jonas is making his coaching debut and work alongside Green and Latifah. It hasn't been announced which celebrities will be competing.
Palmer has plenty of hosting experience under her belt coming into "The Voice." In 2024, she won the Emmy for outstanding game show host for her work NBC's reboot of "Password."
"The Voice: Celebrity" will air in 2027, while the 30th season of "The Voice" will premiere on Sept. 21.
