"Saturday Night Live" is taking a short break.

NBC's Emmy-winning late-night comedy showcase won't air another new episode until Saturday, April 4. Episodes that have already aired will occupy "Saturday Night Live's" usual timeslot for the next few weeks.

Actor and comedian Jack Black, along with musical guest Jack White, is poised to welcome audiences back with a Jack-on-Jack meeting.

Black and White's appearance on "SNL" appeared to have been foretold by host Woody Harrelson in February 2023, who offered up a unique suggestion when introducing White to the stage.

"I mean, the musical guest is Jack White, wouldn't the best host be Jack Black? You know? White, Black, yin, yang — I mean, I really think it could help bring America together," Harrelson said during promos for his episode.

"SNL" host Harry Styles gives the opening monologue during the Saturday, March 14 episode.

Black will be inducted as the latest member of the show's famed "five-timers club," consisting of stars who have hosted that many times, after the April 4 show.

His latest episode will come almost one year to the day since he last hosted "SNL" on April 5, 2025.

Before last year's episode, Black had not hosted "SNL" since 2005. This year's appearance will be tied to his latest film, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie".
