Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's celebrity inner circle may be shrinking. Although the pair recently reconnected with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove, back in the United States, they've faced ongoing speculation about deteriorating friendships.

Among these claims, journalist Paula Froelich alleged that Harry upset his longtime friend, Elton John, after seeking financial support prior to their High Court loss against the Daily Mail's publisher, Associated Newspapers Ltd, last week.

According to the reporter, sources indicated that Elton had "had enough of the wayward and hot-tempered Prince," following Harry's request for funding for the Invictus Games.

To date, neither side has commented on these allegations.

While there has been speculation that Harry and Meghan have fallen out of favor with multiple celebrity friends in recent years, including Oprah Winfrey, the Beckhams, and George and Amal Clooney - all of whom attended their 2018 wedding - the couple has preserved certain relationships.

Meghan has maintained her friendship with actress Abigail Spencer since 2007. The pair, who eventually starred together in Suits, initially connected at an audition for an NBC pilot, where they formed an instant connection.

Four years later, both were cast in the popular legal drama, further strengthening their relationship. "Our friendship really developed during that time, and deepened. She's an incredible person," Abigail said of Meghan in 2024.

Among the Duchess's most loyal allies, Abigail notably featured in the Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan (2022), and most recently participated in season one of her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan (2025). Last year, Abigail also championed Meghan's new brand, As Ever, on Instagram and, in a birthday message, described the mother-of-two as "Champagne in human form" and a "sister in this life, and beyond".

Among Meghan's inner circle is Kelly McKee Zajfen, a former model and co-founder of non-profit organization, Alliance of Moms. The pair, who have maintained their friendship for over 20 years, consistently show up for each other at public appearances and across social media.

In March, Meghan presented Kelly with the Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award, and in 2025, Kelly made an appearance in an episode of With Love, Meghan.

In a tribute celebrating Meghan's Netflix series, Kelly shared: "Meghan, you are pure magic and so full of love in everything you do-hosting, nurturing, creating joy. It all pours out of you so effortlessly, so beautifully, and not just on the show but every single day."

Nacho Figueras

Prince Harry has maintained a friendship with Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras for nearly two decades. The pair, who met in 2007, took a ski trip to Aspen, Colorado, in December 2025.

While the pair typically maintain their friendship privately, Nacho has occasionally discussed Harry publicly, offering an encouraging update in 2024 about his friend's life in America. "Prince Harry is doing very well, and I admire how he has fully embraced fatherhood over the past couple of years," he told People.

"He loves parenthood. I admire him so much as a parent. He has a great and supportive wife in Meghan Markle."

Though reports suggest Harry's friendship with Elton may be strained, the two have stood by each other in recent years. The Rocket Man legend, who shared a close bond with Harry's late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, has provided the Duke with tremendous support, including performing at his 2018 wedding reception.

Elton and his husband, David Furnish, have additionally opened their homes to Meghan and Harry during challenging periods. Most recently, Elton joined Harry in his legal action against Associated Newspapers Ltd, though their loss proved to be a significant setback.
