When it comes to Christmas, everyone has their thing. Some people swear by real trees, others refuse to listen to anything but Mariah Carey on repeat, and at least one person in every family thinks Die Hard is the only movie that matters. But when it comes to Santa — specifically, the sexiest Santa — the internet does not believe in nuance. There are opinions, there are debates, and apparently, there is also one “correct” answer.
On Sunday, December 21, Betches posed the ultimate holiday question on Instagram: “Who is the sexiest Santa of all time?” The post, captioned with the cheeky warning, “before you ask, yes there is only one right answer,” featured four contenders — Tim Allen’s Santa from The Santa Clause, Kurt Russell’s Santa from The Christmas Chronicles, David Harbour’s Santa from Violent Night, and Justin Hartley’s Santa from A Bad Moms Christmas.

Within minutes, the comments made it clear this was never going to be a close race.
“Kurt Russell, next question,” one person wrote.
“Kurt without a doubt 😍 we call that movie ‘Sexy Santa’ in our house,” another chimed in.
“Kurt Russell — hands down — no questions and no notes,” added a third.
“Kurt’s the obvious answer…” someone else agreed.
“Gimme Kurt or gimme coal,” another teased.

Of course, not everyone was fully aligned. A few commenters were stunned that Harbour’s Violent Night Santa wasn’t getting more love. “Blown away that more people aren’t saying David Harbour,” one person admitted, while another defended Hartley’s honor, writing, “I know Justin Hartley is overhyped, but man y’all are sleeping on him in these comments.”
Others went completely off-menu, demanding justice for Billy Bob Thornton’s Bad Santa, asking where JK Simmons from Red One was, or lobbying for the Target commercial Santa.

Still, the overwhelming consensus was impossible to ignore. Russell didn’t just win. He lapped the competition.
And this isn’t the first time the internet has reached that conclusion. The moment The Christmas Chronicles dropped on Netflix in 2018, outlets were openly calling Russell a “hot Santa,” and fans latched onto the unexpected appeal of a Santa with swagger and a little rock-star energy.
At this point, the “sexiest Santa” debate lives in the same corner of the internet as arguments over the best Batman, the hottest James Bond, or which Spider-Man really understood the assignment.
