- Soccer star Jorginho Frello claimed that Chappell Roan's security guard brought his 11-year-old daughter to tears after accusing her of harassing the singer.

- The soccer star said the child — who his wife, Catherine Harding, shares with her ex Jude Law — got excited after spotting Roan in their hotel.

- The Grammy winner denied that she sent the security guard over to the family's table, adding, "You did not deserve that."

Chappell Roan insists she had nothing to do with a security guard bringing a young fan to tears after accusing her of harassing the singer.

Hours after Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello blasted Roan for allegedly instructing her security to chastise his 11-year-old daughter — who got excited after spotting Roan in their hotel — the Grammy winner is sharing her side of the story.

"I didn't even see a woman and a child," the 28-year-old pop star said in an Instagram Stories video she posted Sunday morning, referring to Frello's wife, singer Catherine Harding, and Ada Law, the child Harding shares with her ex Jude Law. "No one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel."

She added, "I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. They did not come up to me — they weren't doing anything!"

In Frello's original post, the Arsenal player accused the "Hot to Go" singer of making his daughter-in-law cry during a "very upsetting situation" that occurred while the family was staying at the same hotel as her during Lollapalooza Brazil.

"This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited," the pro athlete wrote. "She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire."

Frello explained that Harding and Ada were sitting down for breakfast when they spotted Roan in the room. Overjoyed, his daughter wanted to confirm that it was her.

"The worst part is she didn't even approach her,” he continued. "She simply walked past the singer's table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn't say anything, didn't ask for anything."

Jorginho claimed that after his daughter returned to their table, a "large security guard" interrupted their breakfast and "began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn't allow my daughter to 'disrespect' or 'harass' other people."

The soccer pro continued, "Honestly, I don't know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment."

He added that his daughter was "extremely shaken and cried a lot."

Jorginho then moved on to criticizing Roan directly. "I've lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are," he wrote. "What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone."

He then tagged Roan's Instagram account and wrote a message in all caps: "WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION."

In her own video, Roan maintained that she agrees the security guard did not respond appropriately, adding that she didn't even see the child walk by or take notice of her at all.

"It's unfair for security to just assume someone doesn't have good intentions," she said.

Reacting to Jorginho's criticisms, Roan concluded, "I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children — that is crazy. I'm sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming that you would do something, and if you felt uncomfortable that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that."

Representatives for Roan and Law did not immediately respond to **'s request for comment.

Since her meteoric rise to fame after releasing her debut album, *The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess*, Roan has made waves for speaking out about the difficult and often exploitative nature of being a musician and living in the public eye. This has included advocating on behalf of her fellow artists for a livable wage while on stage at the Grammys and frequently calling out aggressive red carpet photographers and "creepy" fans who get too close to her.

This latest incident comes amid renewed attention to her stance on boundaries. It took place weeks after the singer went viral for confronting paparazzi and autograph seekers who followed her to a Paris restaurant, asking them to "please leave me alone and stop following me and harassing me" before turning the camera of her phone on them to show them "what it's like."

Over the past two years, several stars have come to Roan's defense, including Doja Cat, who recently praised her ability to be "uncomfortable, comfortably" while handling intrusive fans and paparazzi.

Others, however, have pointed out that the attention and fervor are just part of the job. Earlier this month, Boy George offered the singer some advice, writing on social media, "The trick is to own your fame. Yes, it's annoying at times, but so is being ignored and told your [sic] a 'has-been.' Life is always now, and I think Chappell looks great, but cheer up, girl. The world is at your feet. Stop kicking it!"
