Brooklyn Beckham’s latest kitchen experiment is drawing plenty of heat online after the aspiring chef appeared to use seawater to cook pasta in a new TikTok video.

Beckham, 27, shared footage of himself preparing a tomato pasta dish near the ocean, beginning the recipe by carrying a large cooking pot directly into the water.

"Of course we get some pasta water," he says in the clip before dipping the pot into the sea and filling it. He then holds the container up for the camera before continuing with the meal. This comes after Brooklyn made a "smug" jab at his family feud during his latest Doordash commercial, according to one expert.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham goes on to chop red and yellow tomatoes, pour oil into a pan and season the mixture with salt. He also adds his Cloud23 hot sauce to the tomatoes.

After cooking the noodles in the collected water, Beckham transfers the pasta into the pan. He later samples the finished dish alongside another chef, with both appearing pleased by the result.

Viewers, however, were less enthusiastic. The comment section quickly filled with jokes and concerns about using untreated ocean water for cooking. "Pasta water with a hint of burnt boat fuel please sir," one commenter wrote.

Another person asked, "Is this ragebait?" while someone else questioned, "Isn’t the ocean water dirty?"

One viewer offered a more colorful assessment of the possible consequences.

"As italian, I’m pretty sure that sea water is the best way to spent all the next day in the bathroom." Others used the video as another opportunity to poke fun at Beckham’s culinary ambitions.

"Is there no beginning to his talents?!" one user wrote. "Tomorrow I’m making corn flakes," another person joked, while a separate commenter added, "Today im gonna make bread and butter."

Beckham is no stranger to criticism over his cooking content, which has repeatedly attracted attention online. In June 2023, viewers mocked him after he posted footage showing chicken being fried in what some believed was an unusually large quantity of avocado oil.

Beckham later said the criticism surrounding his cooking videos had little effect on him.

"To be honest, I’m used to the hate," he told Insider in October 2023. "It doesn’t really bother me."

He said cooking remained something he enjoyed regardless of what commenters had to say.

"Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me."
