In a video shared to Instagram, Lively shared the process of turning their hair gray using "all the baby powder"

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds showed up strong for Halloween this year.

The couple — who is known for coordinating their looks and dressing festively — showed up for the spooky holiday as Carl and Ellie from Disney's 2009 animated film Up.

In a video shared to Instagram on Monday, Nov. 3, Lively, 38, transforms into the elderly version of Ellie. She starts by turning her hair gray using baby powder as well as some hair products from her brand, Blake Brown Beauty.

"Halloween by @blakebrownbeauty & ALL the baby powder," she captioned the post. "*Child’s sock to wipe the excess powder off your face not included 🎾 👓♥️ @vancityreynolds."

She then adds wrinkles on her face using makeup before showing off her colorful outfit of a yellow dress, brown coat and multicolored scarf.

Lively also shows Reynolds, 49, adding baby powder to his own hair while dressed in gray pants and a brown coat. At the end of the video, the couple pose together in their final looks.

The Gossip Girl actress has a history of creative costumes. In 2021, she posted a photo of her Charlie Chaplin-inspired DIY costume, which she seemingly put together very last-minute.

"What's black and white and lively all over," Lively, 38, cleverly captioned the post, before explaining in her Instagram Stories that all she had was "grey face paint, a black wig and a crazy idea.”

"Luckily, when I Googled it, someone named @sharonfarrell already had the same idea. Thanks for being my first YouTube beauty tutorial," she wrote over a photo of herself getting ready.

The couple — who are parents to daughters James, 10, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, and son Olin, 2 — enjoyed their night out as a judge ended the $400 million countersuit Lively's It Ends with Us costar Justin Baldoni had filed against her and Reynolds.

The conflict between Lively and Baldoni began in December 2024, months after the release of It Ends with Us. That month, Lively filed a formal complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, alleging misconduct during production and a retaliatory smear campaign after she raised concerns, claims Baldoni has denied.

In response, Baldoni filed his own lawsuit accusing Lively and Reynolds, 48, of defamation and extortion. A judge dismissed those claims in June, and Baldoni’s legal team declined to file amended versions.

In the latest update to the ongoing saga, on Friday, Oct. 31, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Liman signed a new order, stating that Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios co-plaintiffs had failed to file a further amended complaint after the court dismissed their case back in June.

The judge also said he'd contacted all parties on Oct. 17 to warn them that he'd be entering a final judgment to conclude the case. According to a document reviewed by PEOPLE, Lively was the only one to respond, asking the judge to declare the final judgment, but for her request for legal fees to remain active, which the judge agreed to.

The trial is set for March 2026.
