No one is a bigger fan of Cameron and Cayden Boozer than their parents, Carlos and CeCe.

During their marriage, Carlos, a two-time NBA all-star, and CeCe welcomed three children. Their eldest son, Carmani, was born in 2006, followed by fraternal twins Cameron and Cayden in 2007.

The brothers began following in their father’s footsteps in sixth grade and eventually landed at his alma mater, Duke University, where both parents have remained a steady presence on the sidelines while the twins play for the Blue Devils.

“I think he's only missed one game, so he basically has been to every game, especially with my mom too,” Cayden told PEOPLE in March 2026. “So I think just having family that's so supportive that comes to every game just makes this college life a lot easier."

Here's everything to know about Cameron and Cayden Boozer's parents, Carlos and CeCe.

According to Sports Illustrated, Carlos and CeCe met while in college. He told The Salt Lake Tribune in 2007 that she noticed him at a bookstore when he was an incoming 17-year-old freshman at Duke, and she was a 20-year-old senior.

CeCe tracked him down in the student directory and asked him to dinner, Carlos recalled.

Seven years after the former couple tied the knot in 2002, Carlos filed for divorce, The Salt Lake Tribune reported at the time. Their divorce was finalized in 2015.

The apple didn't fall too far from the tree when it came to the Boozer twins. Their father, Carlos, was a two-time NBA All-Star who played as a power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was also part of the "Redeem Team" that won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

“Being around the game for so long just has helped us fall in love with the game,” Cayden told PEOPLE. “Obviously seeing it at the highest level and just being around it, it's a real feeling.”

Though watching their dad on the court sparked something within the Boozer brothers, Cayden maintained that Carlos never "put any pressure" on them to "do anything."

CeCe is an entrepreneur

Though she's a former athlete herself — Cameron told CBS News in February 2022 that his mom played division 1 volleyball — CeCe found her passion in starting an assisted living facility to help her mother, who would one day need care.

She's since expanded to opening other, smaller homes that focus on helping people with disabilities.

"It's something completely different that I've never done before," she shared during a May 2025 interview on Grown Woman with Shannon Allen. "Now in my empty nest I will expand and pour more so I can keep myself busy ... I feel like this is something that I feel proud of."

CeCe and Cameron are the proud parents of three sons. Their eldest, Carmani, was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, an inherited blood disorder that can restrict blood flow throughout the body, in utero before he was born on May 31, 2006.

"When we found out, it felt like our whole universe was crumbling around us," Carlos told The Salt Lake Tribune in 2007.

After researching the disease, CeCe learned that Carmani’s best chance at a cure was a bone marrow transplant using stem cells from the umbilical cord of a sibling. In the hopes that one of the embryos would take, CeCe became pregnant with twins through in vitro fertilization and welcomed Cayden and Cameron on July 18, 2007.

The procedure required 40 days in the hospital, with Carlos taking the night shift so he could work out during the day. The absence of his family from basketball events was profound for Carlos, who missed seeing his wife and sons during the day.

"You go play ball, play the Spurs at home or whatever and then you shower, you dress, you go talk to the coaches about the next day and then you go to the family room and hug your wife and your kids," he said. "I go there, and there wasn't anyone there. That is when I felt empty."

After his hospital stay, Carmani’s transplant was deemed a success.

Carlos also welcomed a daughter, Bloom Boheme Boozer, in April 2019.

Carlos said his sons “earned everything they’ve ever gotten”

Though Cayden admitted to The Washington Post in November 2025 that he and his brother were worried about being stuck in their dad's "shadow" if they went to Duke, Carlos had no such fears for his sons.

"My kids have earned everything they’ve ever gotten," the former NBA All-Star said. "They don’t come across privileged or entitled. They’re very humble. They don’t boast and brag. They’re grinding for their own name. I love that about them.”

Though Carlos admitted that he was "super honored to spoil them with luxuries" he didn't have at their age, those indulgences came with a caveat.

"We let them know you have to work your butt off," he explained. "It took me a lot of hours of blood, sweat and tears to get to that. If you want this for you, you’ve got to do the same thing.”

CeCe said she’s “so proud” of their journey

When Cayden and Cameron graduated from high school in May 2025, CeCe wrote in a sentimental Instagram post about the pride she felt for her boys.

"I am so proud of your journey these past 4 years," she captioned a series of pictures. "You have both been amazing students while accomplishing your goals on the basketball court simultaneously. You have grown into amazing young men."
